My dad used to always call large cities “depressing concrete cities”. Toronto is probably no exception in a lot of people’s opinion. Since moving here, though, I have discovered so many beautiful and charming works of architecture, as well as many great green spaces/greenery. All that are shown in this entry were within a two block radius of the downtown high rise where Phil and I reside. I captured these photos yesterday and today with my noisy little Ricoh point and shoot.
Oh, and this is the massive high rise we live in. We are three floor down from the top, on the left side in this picture. I’ve had my reservations about high rises in the past, but this one is actually quite nice. It’s clean, well maintained, and the top floor has a pool, gym, and sauna. The apartments are also fairly spacious for the location and price, with excellent lighting.
